Is it possible to disable ?action=wu_count_visits function?
It take long time to load (about 800 millisec – 1 second, according to Pingdom) and I guess we dont need it.
Maybe there is an option to disable it but I cant find it (or need to unload some actions using right code..)

There’s no way to remove it currently, but I’m make sure to add an option for the next release allowing people that do not wish to control visits count to remove it.
I’m not sure why it would take so long to load, though, as the code run in that hook is pretty trivial… Is your network receiving tons of traffic on the front-end? Would you be able to share your specs (RAM and CPU)?

Has this functionality been added?
I just setup a fresh install multisite, latest WPUltimo, with nothing else on it. Setup a blank test subsite and ran through Gtmetrix with super fast speeds via the subdomain.
I mapped a domain. and now loading wu_count_visits via ajax is adding 1.4 seconds to the load time. Any idea why this is happening? (mercator is taking 1.5 seconds as well).

Hmmm… for anyone else seeing this issue, it HAS been added into WPUltimo.
This will stop killing load speeds….
WPUltimo -> Network Settings -> Enable Visits Limitation & Counting -> DISABLE
The big issue was that it also slowed down mercator from loading as well,… effectively doubling the slow down! ergh.+

Did some work on this and made the script a bit more clever.
It only sends the count request 10 seconds after the page is fully loaded or on page unload (an event that is trigger when the visitor closes the tab or navigates away) if the user has been on the page for longer than 3 seconds.
We’ll add some changes on the server-side as well, to make the calls lighter and only check for things like cache flushing from time to time, instead of every ping.
