Thought maybe we could have a sticky post that forum users can list their plugin conflicts with Ultimo. I’m a new user with it and am just learning the ropes (coming from the loved/hated ProSites). Something like this might be a good reference for new guys…1 year, 11 months ago teddarlingParticipant
Ultimo and ZeroBS CRM addon StripeSync conflict.
Both make use of the Strip Composer library with different major versions.
While composer is a great package manager for PHP, I wish more WordPress Devs would understand that they need to change any namespaces to avoid possible version conflicts. It does mean more work, but it avoids a ton of conflicts.
I just ran into this conflict about 2 days ago (only realized today where the conflict was).1 year, 11 months ago Arindo DuqueKeymaster
Sure, thanks for the initiative, @bchalker. I’ll pin this topic =)
I love composer and it makes life so much easier, @teddarling. Namespacing Stripe is on my todo list for a while but I haven’t got a chance to do it just yet. I’ll give it priority =) I also need to bump the Stripe SDK version we are using so I’ll take that opportunity to do both things.
Thanks for the report =)1 year, 11 months ago teddarlingParticipant
Thanks for considering it.
I love composer too. It really does make life easier. But I’ve run into the issues as well in the past creating some custom site plugins for clients. So now, I just add Gulp into my build pipeline to find/replace stuff in Composer dependencies.1 year, 8 months ago DanielParticipant
Just discovered a conflict with the User Switching plugin.
A useful tool when developing to quickly help you see what different roles will eventually get in the dashboard etc.
When adding a new site on the front end it generates a “User already exists” error at the end of the process every time and the new sign up doesn’t get re-directed to their new sites dashboard.
The new user and site is created in the back end, and it triggers the emails to them etc… but they don’t know it has been successful.
Deactivated the User Switching plugin and all good again. Not a big problem, just avoid that plugin.
This is SUPER interesting.
User Switching is a plugin that a lot of people use on their networks as it helps a lot to find issues and on experiencing the admin as your users would without having to logout.
And we have been getting a lot of reports of “User already exists” issues lately. I’ll try to find out if User Switching was installed on their sites and hopefully we’ll be able to patch it.
Thanks for the report, Daniel.
We tried to replicate this locally without success… Are you sure disabling User Switch was the reason why the process resume working?
Kind regards,1 year, 8 months ago DanielParticipant
Just checked again and same bug for me,
Everything is fine before activating the plugin. I then come across the problem once it is network activated.
I deactivate and test again, everything is working properly again.
Hey, Daniel. Can you let me know which hosting provider you are using?1 year, 7 months ago dennyParticipant
I’m not sure of the exact process to duplicate the bug but FWIW I’ve just gone through our signup process and not experiencing any such issues. We’ve used User Switching for a long time now and haven’t run into any problems with Ultimo as a result.
So I guess… YMMV? Just thought it was worth mentioning in case people want to test for themselves vs ignoring it altogether since it’s such a useful utility.1 year ago Betty MaiParticipant
I meet conflict with theme Flatsome (ux builder). I cannot edit a page/post with ux builder when active wp-ultimo. I often de-active, then edit post/page with ux builder then re-active wp-ultimo. I hope you can fix this soon because my customers always require me about this error
