While I’m not 100% on what integration with WP Ultimo is needed, or even possible, I did wonder about compliance issues with upcoming GDPR… in looking for solutions, I found several recommendations toward https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-gdpr-compliance/
So, I asked for WP Ultimo to be added to the integration/add-on roadmap for the WPGDPRC plugin; if there is any potential here for a useful integration, we need more votes.
I’m especially interested in working out consolidated data review & export for all the plugins I use, not sure if there are other things to attend to as well for WP Ultimo (eg. opt-in checkboxes for MailChimp add-on).
VOTES needed to prioritize WP Ultimo integration!

Absolute! +1 from here!
Just wanted to add that there will also come some GDPR related changes in WP core as mentioned here: https://make.wordpress.org/core/tag/gdpr-compliance/
It might be better to focus on that instead of using another plugin.2 years, 1 month ago mentolParticipant
+1 from me, definitely.
@Joran yes, I generally agree –> however, core sometimes assumes that multisite admins can add structure and polish to produce the functionality that is needed.
…and that is where (well written) plugins are really great at extending core…
eg. Ultimo | Mercator (| WP Multi Network)
So, I tried to politely add a comment to bring some issues of network admins to mind at https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/43435#comment:45
I had taken several months away from doing active web stuff to work on my little homestead, and when I came back to this hullabaloo about GPPR, well, the crazy timeline for this stuff kinda spooked me a bit… I mean the scramble to implement is like we all discovered our parents/boss/whomever were coming to visit when they were an hour away… anyways, we’re at the place we are, and moving forward.
…so, I still see value in trying make ensure that there plugin solutions out there that will integrate well with my current code base to extend/refine whatever core ends up with. I’m happy that WP Ultimo got on their roadmap before they closed voting. There is also a chance that code from this (or similar plugins) will be contributed to core GDPR effort. Cheers, Max
oh yeah, guess I should say this really clearly:
Voting is temporarily CLOSED at the WPGDPRC roadmap page
while they work on clearing their current goals… they said they will prob re-open comments for votes after v1.32 years, 1 month ago benz1Participant
Does WP Ultimo not need to comply with GDPR in it’s own right, e.g., asking for explicit permission as part of the sign-up process to store personal information and to make the user aware of their rights?
…well, basically: idk, maybe?2 years, 1 month ago Arindo DuqueKeymaster
I’m only now starting to take a look at GDPR regulations to try to understand how that will impact Ultimo.
I do think that in the end we might need to implement some elements into the core of WP Ultimo itself… There’s some work being done by the WP Core team (Max did a great job listing some of the important tickets on trac) and I wanna wait a bit longer to see if they come up with something we can just hook into (which seems to be the case).
@max42: I know GDPR has some provisions to allow users to export their information from services. Does the WPGDPRC team implement that as well on the plugins they are including?
@admin I’m not sure exactly what you’re asking after… it seems like things are in flux still and also spread over so many tickets its hard to keep trac of 😉
…seems like a good start might be at:
#gdpr-compliance | …and this might be handy 😉 –> draft version ‘privacy’ section Plugin Dev guide @ google docs
…hope that helps; been busy, will reply to your mssg soon.

…oh, @admin I think I misread your Q… you were asking about the WPGDPRC plugin
…I think we’ll see what they come up with in v1.3 (see their roadmap page sidebar); also, it seems to me that this plugin is focused on single site… mostly I’ve just been trying to ‘stir the pot’ around GDPR and multisite.
