I think the next awesome feature added to the domain seller plugin would be full DNS management.
This way users can create/delete DNS records via their admin area in their site.
Some scenarios I keep running into with my multisite setup. I run a restaurant website service, so the majority of customer use Square, Clover, and a few others as their POS.
These systems have an online ordering capability and offer an option to map a domain to the order page, usually, customers want to map it to their existing website at a subdomain at something like order.restaurant.com.
Right now, I have to do this manually for domains ordered through WP Ultimi + OpenSRS.
Another example I came across is with G Suite from Google, customers want to set up their email address to point to their domain name. Same as above, I have to add these manually.
The same goes for Mailgun and other email delivery services.
Essentially, anything that 3rd party platforms want to do that requires DNS changes (CNAME, TXT, A, etc) would be very useful if customers could do that themselves.4 months ago samiralleyParticipant
This would be great. Also allowing users to register a domain after creating a site with in the network would be nice.2 months, 3 weeks ago zachkinseyParticipant
To add on to this, Cloudflare integration would be great for the free SSL for mapped domains.
Currently, users have to set their SSL for mapped domains manually.2 months, 2 weeks ago GlenParticipant
That’s a nice to have, I suggested that over a year ago. In the meantime though, Closte, WPMU DEV Hosting, Cloudways, GridPane, ServerPilot, and WP Engine all support domain mapping and auto-SSL.
